We went to "the wedding" tonight that the girls have been looking forward to getting dressing up for, for a long time. It is not often a children's pastor gets to officiate at a wedding. No, it wasn't one of our children's church kids all grown up getting married, but it could have been, Brent is that old! :-) It was Ben, Brent's old college roommate. Karianne sat through the wedding and the other girls went to the provided child care. She was very impressed with the ceremony never having been to a wedding before. She waved at her daddy and the groom and the bride as they came down the aisle. She informed me the flowers were fake on the pew bows but they still smelled good. Brent asked her what his role was after the wedding and she told him, "you teached them how to get married. You did a good job!"
Their wedding was a symbolic countdown. I don't know if I can remember it all but they were married on Oct 9th, at 7pm (10, 9, 8, 7...) 6 attendants, 5 musicians, can't remember 4, 3 candles, 2 people, united as 1 before God. So sweet. Anyway, since it was at 7pm, no meal was served, just a dessert buffet, which was okie dokie with the girls. Angie and Amy in particular were very keyed up with all the sweets.
They danced,
And danced,
in fact they were the only ones dancing at this baptist wedding. Chocolate is like a kid's alchohol and these kids had way too much. :-)

All the girls look so beautiful. Their dresses and hair are adorable! :)
That was such a funny mental picture! 3 kids "drunk" on chocolate and dancing at a Baptist wedding. LOL!!!
