headbands

I bought a headband for Karianne the other day. She loved it! She wore it every day, through naptime and bedtime as well! It didn't match much, so I bought another headband for her so it would match a few more of her outfits. She didn't quite see the need for another headband so she tried to give it to Angie. Angie didn't want it, and Karianne said, "but you have to take it because I don't have 2 heads!"

CNY

We had our Chinese New Year celebration tonight with our local Families with Children from China group (FCC). We met at a Chinese restaurant and there were crafts for the children to do and a Dragon for them to dance around in. Karianne and Angie remembered the dragon from last year and they both had the same reaction as last year. Angie was scared and Karianne was so excited and couldn't wait for her turn under the dragon. At first it was very popular with the children and she could barely squeeze in under the tail. After a while it lost it's popularity and Karianne and another little girl got to parade around the room in the dragon and Karianne got to be the leader under the head! Just look how excited she was! :-)
Happy Chinese New Year!

Here's Angie in an outfit I made for her yesterday. She looks so pretty n'es pas? :-)

Happy Valentines Day bonus

Couldn't resist sharing this picture of Karianne and Dinky. She always says, " I want to hold someone" when I won't let her hold Lucy; so I tell her to go hold Dinky. :-)

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day! The girls are loaded up on love and Chocolate! :-)

They went to Mother's Day Out today and had a party with their friends. Brent and I went out (with Lucy) and went to lunch. I rented a movie and bought ice cream for myself because I am spending the evening by myself. Brent has offered to watch everyone's children at church tonight so the parents can go on a date!

Sunday

Last night Karianne crawled into bed with us. A little while later, Angie started crying and wanted Karianne back in the room with her. Brent asked Karianne if she should maybe go back to bed so Angie wouldn't be lonely. She said, "no, I think we should pray for her so she will be brave." Ha! That's exactly what she did! :-)

Happy Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is not until Thursday but the girls got to wear their Chinese outfits to church today. Angie loves to tell everyone "I China", and both of them love anything to do with China. They wished everyone a happy "Chinese New Here", very cute. ;-)

Happy Birthday to me!

My birthday is today. I had a great day. We all went out to lunch and then Brent and the girls went to the store and picked out a birthday cake for me. I got a Dora the Explorer cake! Karianne wrapped up some of her toys in tissue paper and gave them to me for my birthday. I hope the girls pick out a Dora cake for Brent on his birthday next week. :-)

Will the Real Conservative Please Stand Up?

[A political rant from Brent]

The remaining Republican candidates for President seem to (almost) fall into 3 categories...

1. Those who are not conservative buy say they are (i.e. McCain).

2. Those who have not been conservative but say they are now (i.e. Romney, possibly Huckabee).

3. Those who are indeed conservative and have a solid record to back it up (i.e. ...umm... nobody).

I just don't know what to do.
