So we're staying at the Galactic Peace Hotel in Nanchang, Jiangxi. We picked it for it's name. We're that geeky. It's pretty nice though. Our bedroom has no dresser, which is a little strange for us, so all of our stuff stays in our suitcases. We're on the 14th floor. The bathroom is pretty spectacular and has a great view from the toilet- and visa versa.
We toured the Teng Wang pavilion today, in the rain. It's rained every day we've been in China so far. So it's not very hot, but the humidity makes up for it. I think our guide told us the pagoda was the second tallest in Southern China. It had many floors for Jack to race up and down on and many balconies for him to fall off of. It was a bit nerve racking in that sense. Brent visited this place when he came here to adopt Angie, he tried to get his picture sitting in the emperor's throne with Jack like he did with Angie, but Jack would have none of that. He raced around and jumped under the platform and we chased. We finally decided the picture wasn't necessary.
After the pagoda, we went to McDonalds- like we do every day. McDonalds or KFC every day. Our driver just pulled over and let Brent out to run in to McDonalds while Jack and I waited in the car. Jack really likes his daddy, me- not so much. He howled and screamed for his BaBa (daddy). He grabbed his daddy's backpack and umbrella from me and scooted to the other side of the backseat away from me. As if to say, "MY daddy's stuff, it's not yours. I'll keep it for him." I pulled out some tic tacs and offered him one and then he was all, "Oh ok, you're ok then."
After lunch, praise God, we got him to take a nap.
After that we walked around the town a bit and got some pictures and met some new friends from California for dinner at McDonalds- again. They're adopting a baby girl.
Fun day. We managed to keep Jack out of the ER despite all his daredevil stunts.

Your Blog is wonderful and funny and heart-felt. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. I appreciate it so much and am grateful to God to be "in China" with you all.
I think Jack is going to LOVE having you for a mom. Sometimes it takes boys a while to figure things out. Think "husband" in miniature form and that is all you need to know! Seriously. That is all.
Travel safe and happy homecomings. B.
