Birthday Bliss

We celebrated Amy's birthday yesterday. Her 7th birthday is next week but we'll be in China so we celebrated early. Amy loves bright colors and her favorite color changes all the time. So we made some rainbow food.

We started the day with cake batter pancakes with rainbow sprinkles.

On their birthday, the girls get to pick their favorite food to have at dinner. Amy's is Spaghetti. I made rainbow spaghetti, it turned out awesome! I cooked up noodles and then divided them out in baggies and added a different color of food coloring to each bag and dispersed the color and then poured it all back in to the serving bowl.

For dessert, the girls get to make and decorate their own cake and Amy made rainbow cake using the same idea, portion out the cake batter into different bowls and add food coloring to each bowl and then spoon each color back into the backing pan. It worked great, the colors were very bright and Amy was pretty proud of herself.
