Who doesn't like pictures ot Roses? My Roses in Texas never did this well. My yard is in full bloom now and it's beautiful!

Over 180 new Waiting Children were added to CCAA's multiple agency list on Monday. Most of these children are older——most of the children with the more manageable special needs are over five years old. There are a large number of boys on this list also. Here are a few descriptions of typical children on this list.

Twenty-eight children with Hepatitis B, ranging in age from a nearly 5 year-old girl to a fourteen-year- old girl, including an adorable little girl, nearly seven years old

Twenty-three children with Congenital Heart Defects, ranging in age from an eighteen-month old boy to a twelve-and-a- half-year- old boy, including two lovely girls, both eight years old, both post operative

Thirty-seven children with cleft lips/palates, ranging in age from eighteen months to 13 years.

Eight children with blood disorders (mostly thalassemia & hemophilia)

If you are interested in opening your heart to adopting a chinese orphan, there are many good agencies that can assist you. One I can highly recommend from experience is Harrah's Family Services.

All of these children need families of their own.

I have the morning ritual down to a science, I taught the kids how to do each other's hair. Great time saver.

Keys

Yesterday when Brent came home from work he let Lucy have his keys although he had a feeling he'd regret it. She loves keys and started trying them on all the doors.

This morning Brent got up early to go work out before he started work. He couldn't find his keys anywhere. I got up and helped him look. Lucy was sleeping with me so she soon got up after me. Brent turned on all the lights in the house in search of his keys, so soon all the girls where up. We all searched for his keys for at least 40 minutes. He finally gave up, and took his car keys off my key ring and started to leave. He turned to Lucy one last time and said, "Lucy, where did you hide my keys?" Amy jumped up and said, "I know where they are" and marched into the kitchen, opened a drawer and pulled out his keys and gave them to him. Brent and I just looked at her. He said, "Amy thank you! How did you know they were in that drawer?" Amy said, "Because that's where I put them!"

I'll never know what Amy thought we were searching for all morning.

My town

Here's a haystack that has permanent residence outside the elementary school across the street from us. It showed up at the appropriate time around Halloween last year. No one has bothered to move it but someone goes through the trouble of repainting it for every holiday and season. It has been a pumpkin, a turkey, a snowman, a heart, a pot of gold, and presently it is a bunny. Can't wait to see what it looks like for July 4th.
I know of no other school that has a haystack in front of their school in May. That's what makes my town - Collinsville, Oklahoma, unique.

The knot bandit strikes again

This is quite impressive when you think baby shoes have maybe 3 inches of shoelace to work with! There are 4 layers of knots here.

Rose in Bloom

These are my first roses of the season. Usually when my roses bloom the wind blows them to pieces, today they got a nice long drink of rain.

Brent and I watched " Marley and Me" last night. Very introspective movie, good too. Anyway, the entire time we watched the movie, my dog Pixie was on my lap, in my face squirming around constantly to make sure I noticed her. I think she wanted me to know she was every bit as good as Marley. For some reason, I started thinking about dogs in movies and you know what? I can't think of many - well none off the top of my head, black dogs in movies. No all of my dogs that I have owned have either had black or dark fur. What's wrong with darker dogs on Hollywood? I guess they aren't as photogenic as golden labs or white poodles. I looked down at my dog sprawled across my lap and just had to laugh. All but one of my dogs have been long haired dogs too. If they don't open their mouth you can't tell which end it which. Here's some pictures of my crazy dog on my lap. Not to mention that she looks just a little scary too. :-)

It must be nice to get up early, make sure everyone else is awake and up, get breakfast and then fall back asleep.
