Enchanted Island
There's a beautiful park in Central Phoenix with a kiddie amusement park in the middle of it. We tried to use some groupon tickets we had there last month for Karianne's birthday and they wouldn't let us use them on that one day of the year. So we tried again yesterday. The kids had unlimited ride armbands so they just road all the rides all afternoon. They had such fun. Good times.
Christmas Cards
Lucy helped me write some Christmas cards. This is my favorite. Her idea of a great Christmas. Snow on the ground and raining and us catching it in buckets. Did I mention it doesn't rain much in Phoenix?
teddy Bear Tea
A sweet friend treated the girls and I to a fancy tea at the Ritz Carlton. We're not big tea drinkers, but there was plenty of Hot Chocolate. The girls felt so special dressing up and eating off of China in a fancy dining room.
Christmas party
We had a party for the kids in the Group homes at church. The big hit of the night was making gingerbread houses. Our kids loved making them and eating them!

Christmas Festival
Our neighborhood puts on a nice neighborhood Christmas Festival every year. Carriage ride, face painting, bounces houses, food and music...
This year they brought in real snow and dumped it on the green grass in the park and all the kids dressed in shorts and flip flops ran and briefly played in the snow. It was melting fast so the snowballs kind of hurt since they were big slush balls. I don't think Jack had seen snow before or maybe he just didn't recognize it in it's unnatural setting. He kept slipping on it with his flip flops so he kicked off his flip flops and ran across the snow, and ran back to me crying with his little cold red feet. I hugged him and comforted him and his feet quickly warmed up again so he took off across the snow again - and quickly came back crying again. I diverted him to one of the bounce houses.

November 23rd
We spent the day at a ranch hosting a picnic with families from our church for 5 local group homes. Great fun!
In the evening we celebrated Karianne's Birthday. In Peak tradition, Karianne made her own cake. Happy Birthday Karianne!
