Here's a shot from my 40th Birthday party. Ok really is was a birthday party for Brent and I our birthdays are close together. Beautiful sunshine, we spent the day at a park with good friends. The kids played on the playground all day and the adults took turns hiking around the park. Great fun. The only unpleasant part was when poor Jack decided to pick up a Cholla cactus. It shoots off little balls of cacti. Jack thought it looked fun and picked one up! Of course it stuck to his hand and when he tried to brush it off both hands got stuck on it. I tried brushing it off couldn't get it off. My poor baby! Someone had some pliers that finally did the job. He still has some barbs that are working their way out of his skin. 4 years in Arizona and none of us ever thought to pick up a cactus! Until Jack.

Toy Chest
I've been wanting to try this for a while. The Graphics Fairy website has wonderful free vintage graphics. I found this beautiful old dresser/buffet for $12 at Goodwill and was able to empty a whole wall of toys into this dresser. I left it shabby with it's chipped paint and scuffs and painted the letters over it. I used the old overhead technique, I have one! but it was really hard to find anyone still selling transparencies, I had to order them offline. Printed one of the graphics I really liked onto the transparency and painted away. It was fun and I love how it turned out.
