National Parks
It's cool to live in a state that has several national parks and national monuments. National Parks were always something I dreamed of when we lived on the East coast and hoped to take a vacation to one day. Now we can go to places like the Grand Canyon in a day trip. We love Arizona! Here we checked out Sunset Crater National Park and Walnut Canyon in Flagstaff.
Sunset Crater is an ancient volcano that blew a long time ago and the trails are lava flows. Walnut Canyon is a very deep canyon with indian ruins about half way down. We didn't climb down though. We prefered the arial view from the top. We finished the day on the way back home with dinner at our favorite spot in Sedona.
